Dr. Angelle Colon-Diaz

DVM

Education
BS in Biology - University of Central Florida
DVM - Ross University of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Colon-Diaz chose this profession because, during her undergraduate studies, she found herself uncertain about her career path. That changed when she began working at a veterinary clinic and quickly fell in love with the field. What drew her in most was the opportunity to be an advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves and need to rely on us to be their voice. She considers it an honor to serve in that role and to provide care, compassion, and advocacy for animals who cannot ask for it themselves.

When COVID hit, Dr. Colon Diaz had to return home to Puerto Rico, which limited many hands-on opportunities. However, the time she spent working at a veterinary clinic before school made a lasting impact on her. It solidified her passion for the field and her commitment to becoming an advocate for animals. Since then, she’s made it a priority to seek out meaningful learning experiences and grow every step of the way.

Dr. Colon-Diaz has a strong interest in both critical care and anesthesia, especially in cases where patients are in extremely critical condition. There’s something incredibly rewarding to her about seeing these patients stabilize, recover, and eventually go home to live full lives after facing what could have been a fatal event.

In Dr. Colon-Diaz free time, she loves fashion and having an excuse to dress up but also loves to just couch rot. In addition, she likes to watch movies and go out with friends.
