Dr. Tanya Karlecke discovered her passion for veterinary medicine at an early age, inspired by watching her family pets grow older and face illness. Her love of science and dedication to animals led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She earned a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Mercy College (1998–2002) and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine (2002–2006).
As Medical Director for our Hasbrouck Heights practice, Dr. Karlecke is committed to providing exceptional care in preventive and emergency medicine, working closely with her team of compassionate support staff to ensure every pet receives the best care possible.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dogs (two German Shepherds and a terrier mix), traveling, riding ATVs, watching her children play sports, and reading with her family. She also volunteers at her church and the Newark Community Healthy Pet Clinic.
