Dr. Shareen Wong earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Sociology from Fordham University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University. She is a member of the Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA) and is passionate about combining her love of animals with her dedication to science, advocacy, and compassionate care.
Dr. Wong chose veterinary medicine to serve as a voice for animals who cannot express their own needs, and she finds great fulfillment in supporting both patients and the families who love them. She is especially inspired by the human–animal bond and the role veterinarians play in preserving and strengthening that connection.
Her professional interests include general and specialty surgery, with enthusiasm for all aspects of surgical care ranging from routine procedures to emergency and complex cases. She is committed to continued growth and excellence in surgical medicine.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Wong enjoys running and traveling, including solo and backpacking adventures. She has completed five half-marathons and one full marathon, with more races ahead, and has traveled to 25 countries. She continues to explore new places and experiences whenever she can.
