Nicole Giancristofaro, DVM is a second-year Emergency & Critical Care resident at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University following her undergraduate studies in Animal Science, Biology, and Biochemistry at Rutgers University. Dr. Giancristofaro completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, followed by specialty internships in radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania and medical oncology at The Oncology Service in Richmond, VA. Prior to residency, she practiced as an emergency veterinarian for five years, building strong clinical interests in trauma stabilization, critical patients, and client communication.
She is a contributing author to Withrow and MacEwen’s Small Animal Clinical Oncology, authoring Chapter 2: Tumor Biology and Metastasis, and remains passionate about the intersection of critical care and oncology.
Outside of the hospital, Nicole enjoys life with her husband and their two dogs — a playful 4-year-old Great Dane, a spirited 15-year-old pitbull/corgi mix who recently beat cancer (a big yay!).
