Dr. Michael Brown has been providing specialized eye care at Oradell Animal Hospital since 2007. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Science from Kansas State University, completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York, and completed residency training in Comparative Ophthalmology at Kansas State University.
A board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist, Dr. Brown is widely published and brings expertise in corneal and retinal disease, ocular nutrition, diagnostic imaging, pharmaceuticals, ocular toxicology, and the use of technology in veterinary care.
Dr. Brown is deeply committed to improving the quality of life for pets and their families. One of his most memorable cases involved “Dottie,” a senior diabetic Dalmatian with multiple health challenges. By performing cataract surgery and placing intraocular lenses, Dr. Brown restored her vision, allowing her to enjoy her final years and honoring the wishes of her devoted owner.
He is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists, International Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology, American Veterinary Medical Association, and local veterinary associations in New Jersey. Dr. Brown combines advanced medical knowledge with compassion, ensuring every patient receives personalized care and every family feels supported.
