Dr. Lauren Salsburg earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University. She is an active member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV), the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), and the Pride Veterinary Medical Community (PrideVMC). From an early age, she knew veterinary medicine was her calling, and she values the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of both animals and the people who love them.

Dr. Salsburg is passionate about exotic animal medicine, with a special focus on avian care. She finds deep joy in working with parrots and appreciates the unique personalities of feline patients as well. Her clinical interests also include aquatic medicine; during veterinary school, she attended AQUAVET I, an intensive month-long aquatic veterinary program. She has gained broad experience across small animal and exotic practices through roles as a veterinary nurse, assistant, and receptionist.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Salsburg enjoys spending time outdoors on warm days in the water, whether at a creek or lake. She loves exploring new crafts and hobbies and can often be found experimenting with creative projects. At home, she devotes much of her time to her cats, Miss Gravy and MooMoo, her crested gecko, Zelda, and her fish and shrimp tanks.
