Dr. Jamison DeSantis discovered his passion for veterinary medicine early in life and followed it to Cornell University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery right here at Oradell Animal Hospital. Dr. DeSantis joined the OAH team in 2000 and has been caring for pets and the people who love them ever since.
As part of our emergency and general practice team, Dr. DeSantis enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and helping pets through every stage of life. His professional interests include endocrinology, toxicology, and emergency medicine, and he takes great pride in providing thorough, compassionate care when it matters most.
Outside the hospital, Dr. DeSantis enjoys staying active—he’s training for his second-degree black belt in taekwondo, participates in obstacle course racing, and loves fly fishing, hiking, and traveling with his family. At home, he shares life with a joyful household that includes a dog, two cats, a hamster, a hermit crab, and a colorful school of freshwater fish.
“Twenty years at OAH has given me so many wonderful clients and patients—it’s a privilege to be part of their care and their lives.” – Dr. DeSantis
