Dr. Dennis Bailey earned both his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Cornell University. He went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine before returning to Cornell for his residency training in oncology.
A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology), Dr. Bailey joined Oradell Animal Hospital in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer. In this role, he helps guide the hospital’s medical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, mentoring veterinarians, and supporting the ongoing advancement of clinical excellence across all departments.
Dr. Bailey is widely published in the field of veterinary oncology and is deeply committed to advancing the care and treatment options available to pets with cancer. His clinical focus centers on cancer chemotherapy, with a particular interest in maximizing therapeutic benefit while minimizing side effects to improve his patients’ quality of life. He approaches every case with compassion and collaboration, working closely with pet families to guide them through diagnosis and treatment with understanding and hope.
Dr. Bailey is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Veterinary Cancer Society, Oncology and Pathology Working Group, and the Veterinary Cooperative Oncology Group.
