Dr. Anna Watson earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with minors in Chemistry and Microbiology, from Indiana University Southeast. She completed a small animal rotating internship at Kansas State University, followed by an Emergency and Critical Care/Exotics internship at Tufts University. She went on to complete an Avian Residency through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners at the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic of Indianapolis. 

Dr. Watson has a special interest in avian and exotic animal medicine and is passionate about improving access to high-quality care for these unique patients. She is particularly interested in educating both veterinary professionals and pet owners about the specialized needs of birds and exotic pets, helping them receive the care and enrichment they need to thrive. She also enjoys mentoring the next generation of veterinarians in avian and exotic medicine. 

Dr. Watson is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Zoo Veterinarians. 

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Watson enjoys reading, drawing, and rock climbing. She shares her home with four dogs, who keep life busy and entertaining.
