Her curiosity about how living systems function, combined with a passion for animals and scientific discovery, led her to pursue veterinary medicine. She enjoys the profession’s unique blend of critical thinking, lifelong learning, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals.

Dr. Perry’s greatest professional passion is zoo medicine and wildlife conservation. She is particularly interested in the role veterinary medicine plays in protecting species and supporting conservation efforts. Her additional clinical interests include pathology, ophthalmology, and surgery, and she is dedicated to continually expanding her knowledge and skills across these fields.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Perry enjoys staying active through boxing and weightlifting, playing the ukulele, and discovering new coffee shops. She also has a deep appreciation for language and etymology, enjoys the ritual of making tea, and can often be found immersed in a good science fiction or fantasy novel.
