At Oradell Animal Hospital, we’re fully equipped to perform a range of complex surgeries. Our capabilities include:

Our modern surgery suites are equipped with state-of-the-art anesthesia and patient monitoring equipment to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort throughout the entire surgical process. During pre-op, surgery, and post-op recovery, our highly trained surgical team closely monitors your pet’s vital signs using advanced devices, including:

  • Capnographs - monitoring tidal volume for lung capacity during patient procedures
  • ECG devices - continuously monitor patients' heart rate and rhythms during the procedure
  • Blood Pressure monitors - making sure blood pressure stays within optimal ranges during anesthetic procedures
  • Pulse oximeter - measuring the appropriate amounts of blood oxygen saturation for our patients
  • Esophageal stethoscopes - are used so our technical staff can auscultate the heart during anesthesia
  • Telemetry monitors - wireless monitoring systems that allow our team to continuously track a patient’s heart rate and rhythm in real time during anesthesia and recovery
  • Bair Huggers - a forced warm air device surrounding the patient in recovery in a cozy blanket, waking up from recovery
  • Gaymar - warm circulating water blankets that are used during surgeries and procedures

All of these state-of-the-art monitors and devices are used by our highly trained medical staff during pre-op, surgery/procedure, and post-op until all vitals are within normal limits.
