Dr. Erica Swanke earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. She went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and joined Oradell Animal Hospital in 2001.
As part of the Emergency and Critical Care team, Dr. Swanke is experienced in managing complex and urgent cases with a calm and compassionate approach. Her professional interests include transfusion medicine, trauma, and toxicology, and she finds great fulfillment in helping critically ill patients recover and return home to their families.
Dr. Swanke is a member of the Association of Veterinary Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
