Dr. Karisa Quimby earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Physiology and Behavior from William Paterson University–Honors College and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. She was drawn to veterinary medicine by a love of animals and the opportunity to combine her interests in science, medicine, and problem-solving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of both animals and the people who care for them.
Dr. Quimby is passionate about delivering thoughtful, compassionate care and values the relationships built with patients and their families throughout their veterinary journeys.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Quimby enjoys staying active through sports and long-distance running. She completed her first marathon in 2022 and looks forward to running another in the future. She also enjoys spending time with her cat and two dogs and values any opportunity to get outside, stay active, and recharge.
