From Dr. Winter: One of my favorite cases to date was a little girl’s baby hamster who came in unresponsive, so we started CPR. I placed an intraosseous catheter in her femur and after a few minutes of CPR, medications, fluids, and dextrose she came back. Within 20 minutes she was stuffing food in her cheek pouches, and by the next day she was back to her normal self and went home to one very happy little girl.
